€70,000-a-week Chelsea target reveals he is ready to leave the club
Claudio Marchisio has set Chelsea on red alert by admitting he wants to leave Juventus. The 31-year-old has been with the Italian side his whole career after coming from the club’s academy.
The midfielder has gone to prove himself for both Juventus and Italy. However, he is now set to leave Turin.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Marchisio no more feels like an important part of coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, and he is unhappy.
That story will no doubt be of interest to Chelsea, who have been chasing the Italian all summer.
The West Londoners are in the market for a new central player, and they have been eyeing up Leicester City’s midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
But, they may now swoop for Marchisio preferably after learning that he is starving for an extra challenge elsewhere.

Meanwhile, According to the latest transfer news from Italian media, Chelsea have had a huge bid for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro turned down by the Serie A champions after reigniting their interest in the Brazilian star.
The Premier League champions were heavily linked with the 26-year-old Sandro earlier in the window, as Antonio Conte is believed to be keen to bolster his wide defensive positions before the window closes.
After having a number of advances turned down it looked as though the Blues were prepared to admit defeat, but it emerged earlier this week that Antonio Conte still holds an interest in the South American full-back.
As per the Italian outlet Calciomercato, the latest bid of the Stamford Bridge club totalled £73m, with £64m made up of one initial upfront payment and the rest in bonuses.
Juventus are reluctant to do business, however, having already waved goodbye to Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves and so far during the off-season.
Alex Sandro, who joined the Serie A giants from Porto back in 2015, featured 27 times in the league last term and a further 11 times in the club’s run to the Champions League final.
Chelsea moved in to seal the deal for #4 midfield destroyer
Chelsea are thinking about a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Grzegorz Krychowiak after their offer for Danny Drinkwater stalled over Leicester’s £40m asking fee, according to stories in the British media. The Sun is suggesting that Chelsea could turn their attentions towards efforts to sign Krychowiak this summer after having failed to secure a price with Leicester for Drinkwater.
The same story says that Chelsea have already had an offer of around £20m turned down by Leicester City for Drinkwater as Antonio Conte seeks for his fifth summer signing.
Leicester are believed to want a fee closer to £40m for the England star this summer, and that could reasonably prompt Chelsea to look at other options.
The report says that Poland midfielder Krychowiak has emerged as another option for the west London club as Conte looks to reinforce his midfield area at Stamford Bridge.
However, it is claimed that Krychowiak would only be permitted to leave PSG on loan this summer after the exit of Neymar from Barcelona.
The Blues are now preparing for a move back to the Champions League this season, having signed four players so far this summer.
The West Londoners have signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
Chelsea dealt blow in race for £36m La Liga star
Spain international Sergi Roberto intends to remain at Barcelona despite appearing as a target for Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.Roberto performed a leading role for the La Liga giants last year, however, was believed to be weighing his future at Camp Nou after Paulinho’s arrival from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 25-year-old has a £36million buy-out clause inserted into his current deal, and Man United and Chelsea have been plotting moves to bring him to England.
But, Roberto says he is ‘happy’ at Barcelona and wants to become an even more important footballer for head coach Ernesto Valverde this campaign.
Talking after the 2-0 La Liga triumph over Real Betis on Sunday, Roberto who netted the second goal said: “I’m happy, [against Real Madrid in the Super Cup] I was happy on a personal level, and I felt comfortable today, too. I played in my favoured midfield position. I started at the Bernabeu, and the coach has given me confidence. I’ve scored today, and I want to be important.
“In pre-season, I wasn’t starting, but now in the official matches, I am playing more. I want to continue here and continue like this.”
The manager has also reiterated his position that Roberto remains an influential part of his dressing room, suggesting: “I am counting on him. In some games, he will be a major player and in some games no, but he remains an important player.”
