Mbappe in training-ground bust-up with teammate – report

Kylian Mbappe was ‘excluded’ from Monaco training last week after an altercation with a teammate, according to reports.
Mbappe has been the subject of intense speculation this summer, with a number of clubs interested in the forward.

Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester City have been most regularly linked with making a move for him, while Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested.
The Frenchman did not feature in Monaco’s victory over FC Metz on Saturday, while he was an unused substitute the previous week against Dijon.
Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim denied that he is punishing the teenager.
“Was Mbappe punished? No, not at all,” he said last week. “With everything going on around an 18-year-old kid, it’s our responsibility to protect him from the storm.”
French newspaper L’Equipe have stoked the fire, claiming that Mbappe was involved in an altercation with a teammate last week, hence why he missed the win over Metz.
They report that Mbappe and defender Andrea Raggi engaged in an argument, and that the pair traded insults.
‘He refused to leave the field, determined not to move. All the other players had to train on another lawn,’ the story claims.
Reports on Sunday from Spain possibly conflated the issue, claiming that Mbappe was involved in a training-ground row with Jardim.
Mundo Deportivo claimed that Mbappe had been sent home after the argument, but it appears as though the situation actually involved Raggi, and not Jardim.
Training-ground bust-ups really are the only way to engineer a move, folks.

Lee Sobot Published: 10:05 Monday 21 August 2017 0 Have your say AFTER seeing Leeds United record their third clean sheet in a row at the Stadium of Light, Lee Sobot looks at a few key talking points from the 2-0 sucess against Sunderland. How will Leeds replace Chris Wood? Start with by far the most burning issue which concerns how United will spend the £15m plus add-ons that the club will receive for selling Wood to Burnley. Judging by the words of head coach Thomas Christiansen in the game’s aftermath, there seems no doubt that Wood will be replaced in this window and nor should there be. More to the point, it remains to be seen if Leeds attempt to bring in one new striker or two with the dosh pocketed from Wood’s move to Turf Moor When Wood is gone, the Whites will have just three recognised first team strikers at the club and one of those, Kemar Roofe, has been used by Leeds primarily as a winger. Moreover, playing the lone striker role used in United’s 4-2-3-1 system hardly seems to suit Roofe’s strengths. Another remaining striking option at the club is Souleymane Doukara but the 25-year-old seems firmly out of favour and failed to even earn a place on the bench on Saturday.
