Manchester United continued their fine start to the new season with a 1-0 Champions League victory over Benfica last night.
Mourinho cut a visibly delighted figure as the game entered its closing stages, clocking up a key win in a week where he had been slated for his tactics against Liverpool and linked with the PSG job.
But Spanish website Don Balon claims all is not well regarding Mourinho’s position behind the scenes.
It is said the club are frustrated at the negative tactics he sometimes deploys, particularly in the drab 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.
United were far from their sparkling best last night either, producing a performance that will have done little to excite the fans.

And Don Balon say that, so angry are United, they are lining up Enrique to replace him.
Enrique left his post as Barcelona boss last summer, taking a sabbatical.
But United could approach him to take over should Mourinho continue to divide the club’s board.
Meanwhile, the 54-year-old backed his defensive tactics after United’s win over Benfica.
