Everton join Arsenal and Manchester City in eyeing up Wolves defender Ruben Vinagre as they look to find competition for Leighton Baines

Everton are among the clubs to have checked on Wolves left-back Ruben Vinagre.

The 18-year-old has been impressing this season while on loan from Monaco.

The Portugal Under 19 international is considered a bit light physically but has shown good technique and prowess going forward, scoring in the 4-0 win over Burton Albion last month.

Everton have Brendan Galloway on loan at Sunderland and have welcomed Luke Garbutt back to the Under 23s fold.

However, they remain keen to add competition for Leighton Baines as the England international approaches his 33rd birthday in December.

Arsenal and Manchester City have followed Vinagre in recent years following his performances for Portugal's Under 17s when they won the European Championships in 2016.
