The unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua continued his domination with yet another impressive performance against Carlos Takam at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.
The night of October 28 produced an enticing contest, with both boxers matching punch for punch as the fight lasted 10 rounds at the Wales-based arena.
In spite of suffering a suspected broken nose early on in the second round, Joshua maintained his composure and fought through the pain to outlast his rival, winning every round on his way to victory.
Flooring Takam in the fourth round, which brutally injured the Cameroonian-French star, who sustained a cut over his right eye, Joshua had the fight under control.
A slashing uppercut and a heavy blow to the face by the Brit in round 10 prompted the referee Phil Edwards to intervene and stop the fight, much to Takam’s dismay, handing Joshua the 20th win in his pro career.
