Drinkwater signed for Chelsea on transfer deadline day but a number of injury setbacks meant he had to wait until October 25 to make his Blues debut.
The 27-year-old, who cost £35m from Leicester, featured in Chelsea’s last four games before the international break - coming off the bench in three of those.
But Drinkwater rejected an England call-up for friendlies against Germany and Brazil as he continues his rehabilitation.

He came in for some heavy criticism - despite England head coach Gareth Southgate admitting he had no problems with the midfielder’s decision - with former Three Lions striker Alan Shearer saying he should never pay for his country again.
“I don’t buy into the perception that he’ll never play for England again.
“If he’s fit and playing well for Chelsea on a regular basis then Gareth will have to call him up as we lack depth in midfield.
“If that comes to pass then I’d expect Danny to grasp the opportunity with both hands.”
Chelsea are back in action tomorrow when they take on West Brom at The Hawthorns looking to make it four Premier League wins on the bounce.
