One of the big transfer rumours on Tuesday is that Manchester United are keen on Cesc Fabregas.

Whilst you can put an argument together for Manchester United’s interest in Fabregas, the most likely scenario here is that Fabregas wants a new contract at Chelsea.

The former Barcelona playmaker is contracted at Stamford Bridge until 2019.
Manchester United’s next creative buy appears to be Mesut Ozil on a free transfer.
So, whilst linking up with Jose Mourinho is entirely possible for Fabregas, it would be a surprise if the Spaniard was the answer to Manchester United’s supposed midfield problems.
Yet, the bookies keep an eye on developments in the back pages, and they think Fabregas could well be off to Old Trafford...

Manchester United are now the most likely club to make a move for Cesc Fabregas, according to Ladbrokes.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on reuniting with the Chelsea midfielder, and the bookies rate his chances of moving to Old Trafford at just 7/4.
AC Milan have long been linked with a move for the Spaniard and they’re currently 3/1 for his signature, while a return to his homeland could be on the cards with Valencia currently being priced up as 5/1 shots.

Meanwhile, a return to Arsenal isn’t being ruled out either at 6/1, although 20/1 says Fabregas goes back to his boyhood club, Barcelona, again.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes  said: “Recent history tells us United have a habit of signing unsettled Chelsea stars, and the latest odds are suggesting one more name may be added to that list very soon in the shape of Fabregas.”
