Chelsea set to offer £98,000-a-week deal to 28-year-old EPL star

Chelsea are lining up a “double your money” move for Spurs star Alderweireld, according to the Sunday Times.
Antonio Conte’s side have enquired about the Belgium defender’s interest in leaving Tottenham,
The player has three years left on a deal that covers a basic £49,000 per week.
However the 28-year-old could expect to double that amount at Stamford Bridge, it is suggested.
It is believed that talks between Alderweireld and the club over a new contract have improved poorly.
The Sunday Times claims that chairman Daniel Levy is rejecting to increase the centre-has’ wage to the club’s £80,000-per-week ceiling.
The Italian has spoken of the need to add “quality and quantity” to his team for their return to the Champions League.

Meanwhile, According to the Goal, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has informed Chelsea that he will not push through an Emirates exit unless his wage demands are met in full.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been tipped to join the Stamford Bridge club in recent weeks after entering the final 12 months of his existing Emirates Stadium contract.
As per the same sources, Oxlade-Chamberlain demands £150,000-per-week in wages, which is more than double his current £65,000-per-week salary at Arsenal.
Chelsea are understood to be preparing a £35m bid to test Arsenal’s resolve, with the England international willing to bide his time and weigh up his options.
Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger declared on Wednesday morning that he remains confident of keeping former Southampton star Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have been dealt a massive transfer blow, as Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has agreed to personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old Aurier has attracted interest from some top clubs across the Europe during the summer transfer window and is keen to secure a move away from the French capital.
PSG were initially reluctant to sanction his departure but reports from last week claim the Ligue 1 giants have accepted he will likely leave and are now open to offers.
